Think of the human body like the structure of a tree, and the beliefs and values we have about ourself make up a part of the root system, digging deep into the earth to provide us with grounding and stability; a strong sense of who we are at our deepest level. And the quality and integrity of these roots is really significant because it determines how strong and resilient the trunk of the tree is going to be (and the trunk of the tree represents our mental, physical and emotional well being). When these components are strong and have lots of vitality, we can then strive toward contentment, peace, fulfillment, and flourishing just like a healthy tree does when it extends its branches, grows leaves and produces fruit or flowers.

This internal work is the framework for who you are and if isn’t clearly defined, the rest of your tree isn't going to function and grow properly. Everything you do in life needs to be done with an intention behind it and that includes the relationships that you build and the decisions you make everyday.
